The Appetite

Jan 18, 2018

Erin Harrop is a doctoral student at the University of Washington who uses a Health at Every Size®, anti-oppression, and critical feminist lens to explore the intersection of weight stigma and eating disorders. She joins Julie Church RDN, CEDRD, CD, and Carter Umhau, LMHCA for The Appetite’s first interview, in which we talk about fatness, weight stigma, and the necessity of intersectionality when looking at the systems of oppression that inform our understanding of the body and eating disorder treatment.   To see all of Erin's publications: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Erin_Harrop/publications   More Resources: kimberlybgeorge.com The Fat Pedagogy Reader by Linda Bacon et al - https://goo.gl/fJnWqM A User's Guide to White Privilege by Cynthia Kaufman - https://goo.gl/dBxVsH White Supremacy Culture by Tema Okun - https://goo.gl/PJEbVN White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Backpack by Peggy McIntosh - https://goo.gl/NbsK7R Connect with us: www.OpalFoodandBody.com www.facebook.com/Opalfoodandbodywisdom/ www.twitter.com/opalfoodandbody
